The session interval as the unit
The record is organised by the stretch between one confirmed session and the next, rather than by a rolling window β so "between sessions" is a defined period, not an approximation.
For researchers
Most of mental health happens between appointments, in the hours research has always struggled to see β and what does get recorded rarely stays attributable to whoever recorded it. Healing Space UK structures exactly that territory.
Between-session life, captured as it happens rather than reconstructed a week later β and kept attributable afterwards.
The record is organised by the stretch between one confirmed session and the next, rather than by a rolling window β so "between sessions" is a defined period, not an approximation.
Patient reports, clinician records, agreed goals, recorded measures and patient-reported usefulness stay attributable to their origin, each with its date and a link to the original entry.
Counting and comparison over what was actually recorded. No embeddings, no similarity matching, and no inferred recurrence across separate free-text entries β those were deliberately not built.
What a clinician and patient agreed after a session is recorded in the clinicianβs words and attributed to them, so what was agreed and when is reconstructable rather than remembered.
Whether something helped is answered by the patient, in their name, against a specific piece of work β rather than inferred from engagement.
What the patient chose to share is distinguishable from what they kept private, and privacy is enforced rather than assumed β including for answers attached to unshared items.
Where a structured item originates from conversation, a language model may propose it, deterministic logic validates it against the patientβs own message, and the patient confirms it before it is written β with that proposal and decision kept as a private provenance record. Model output is never the authority for a structured value.
The conversation may offer one of five self-help supports, but is deliberately restrained: no unprompted offer on an opening turn, none twice running, none after a recent decline, none when crisis language is present. Opening a support is recorded as opened β not as tried, completed or helpful.
Context the platform remembers, and the support priorities a patient writes, have no clinician reader. What a clinician sees is what the patient shared β a boundary a study would need to respect, not work around.
We will not claim outcomes we have not measured β including the central one: whether preserving this kind of context improves therapy at all. Two further questions we take seriously: whether support of this kind strengthens skills and independence rather than creating reliance, and whether therapeutic continuity can safely outlast a single care relationship. All three are research questions, not product claims.
There is no published evidence for this platform today, and we do not pretend otherwise anywhere on this site.
Healing Space is being demonstrated β with synthetic data only β to clinicians, researchers and people who evaluate health technology, and we are seeking evaluation partners. Those conversations are scoping, not evidence, and are not endorsements. No study or clinical pilot is running.
Any research use of patient data would require explicit consent and appropriate approvals. None is in place today, and nothing is collected for research by default.
The same intervention, described for the people who use it differently.
If you study digital support between therapy sessions, we would like to talk β about evaluating it properly, and about the study designs that would prove us wrong.
